Downtown Gatlinburg has a lot to offer as well. If you want to visit the Ober Ski Resort and Amusement Park, there is an aerial tram that can transport passengers from the downtown area to the resort while giving them a spectacular view. For a taste of adrenaline, try Gatlinburg Ziplines Family Adventure. Also downtown is the Guinness World Records Museum. Paranormal enthusiasts will love Hauntings – A Live Ghost Show, Ghost Haunts Tours and Ripley's Haunted Adventure.

And let's not forget about the dining and shopping available in downtown Gatlinburg. There are shopping malls, small boutiques and specialty stores. And of course, the museums and attractions usually offer souvenir sales or have gift shops. When it comes to dining, you can find everything from fast food to five star cuisine.
